There are lots of food truck events this month including the opening of a new food park, trucks in Weatherford and trucks going back to the Shops at Park Lane for the first time in many months.
May 1 brings the newest food truck park to Fort Worth with the opening of the Food Park at Thistle Hill. Trucks will be serving lunch from 11 - 1:30 each Monday - Friday at 1509 Pennsylvania Avenue in Fort Worth. On Opening Day, Sauzy’s, Red Jett Sweets, What’s Cook-n Chef and Ketzler’s Schnitzel Shack will be serving. You can find the schedule of trucks on the Food park’s website.
Thursday May 2, The Parking Lot event happens again, from 5-8pm. This favorite event at 1800 Henderson includes Rock & Roll Tacos, Empanada Armada, Yellow Belly, Lucky Ducky Dogs, Oink & Moo BBQ, Rockstar Bakeshop, Little Vessel Grill and The Guava Tree this month.
May 4, the trucks will be in Weatherford for the 2nd Annual Food Truck Bash. Fred's Wagon, Good Karma Kitchen, Cup-Cakin, Slush Works, Cajun Tailgators, Pompeii, Oink & Moo, Gastro Bomber, 2 Outlaws and Fire Oak Grill will be serving from 3:00 - 10:00 at this free event. There will be live music and more at 225 E. Spring Street in Weatherford.
White Rock Local Market - On the first and third Saturday of May, food trucks will be at White Rock Local Market, 9150 Garland Road. On May 4th, the lineup includes Post Oak Red Hots, Guava Tree Truck, Bacon Lover’s Truck, Empanada Armada and Popstar all Natural Popsicles. On May 11th, the lineup includes Post Oak Red Hots, Rock & Roll Tacos, Empanada Armada and Popstar all Natural Popsicles.
Tuesday, May 7, Tasty Tuesday continues at Sprouts at 11722 Marsh Lane. This month the line up includes Rock & Roll Tacos, Tutta’s Pizza, Cup-Cakin, Rock'n Rick’s, Pompeii, The Guava Tree, and Bombay Street Food.
Tuesday, May 7 is Food Truck Day at the National Cowgirl Museum in Fort Worth. A variety of trucks will be at the Museum from 11-1 p.m. Doughboys Pizza, First Bite and Red Jett Sweets will be serving at 1720 Genty Street in Fort Worth.
Saturday, May 11, Picnic on Park Lane, benefiting Children’s Medical Center Musical Therapy Program. Enticed, Rock & Roll Tacos and Ruthie’s Rolling Café will be serving from 11 – 2 pm at The Shops at Park Lane, 8080 Park Lane in Dallas.
Thursday, May 30 is the next Design District Market in the 300 block of Cole Street. I have not seen the food truck line-up yet but the trucks will be there to serve from 6-10 pm.
Weekly events continue through May. Food Trucks continue to be at Sigel's, 5757 Greenville Avenue on Wednesday and Friday nights. Along with the rotation of trucks each of these nights, Sigel's usually has some beverage tastings inside the store.
And as always, the Fort Worth parks are the place to be in Tarrant County, in addition to the previously mentioned Food Park at Thistle Hill you can find the trucks at two other parks.
