Each year the Texas Restaurant Association s the Southwest Foodservice Expo. The Expo brings in over 12,000 attendees to attend educational sessions and talk to vendors about the latest tools and resources to help food service professionals run their business more efficiently.

On June 23-24, 2013,  the Expo is at the Dallas Convention Center and Texas Restaurant Association wants to incorporate food trucks in to the program, in several ways. One of the educational sessions will be "Hitting the Road: Using Food Trucks to Extend or Establish Your Brand".  Additionally, in the Exhibit Hall, food trucks will be set up, with the owners on site, so that attendees can tour the truck and talk casually to those who are operating food trucks.   Also, I have been invited to set up a booth to talk to attendees about my perspective of all things food truck related and show off my blog.

Along with the food truck components, the Expo will have several educational sessions about health care benefits for restaurant owners and their employees and  sessions including how to engage on social media, data security getting access to financing and several other topics important to those operating food trucks.  On top of this, Chef Robert Irvine will be speaking and also doing a cooking demo at the event.  The vendor hall will have hundreds of exhibitors showcasing new products and technology to help you take your business forward.  The two day conference is only $40 to attend, if you register before June 18, which is very low cost for this type of event.

You can register at http://www.swfoodexpo.com/attendees/register and the site has much more information about the event.

I encourage all food truck owners and those thinking about becoming food truck owners to attend this Expo, be sure to stop by my table and say hi!
